Microsoft Corporation Finance Manager - Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure in Redmond, Washington
The MCI (Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure) finance team is looking for a talented and motivated individual to help shape Microsoft's hardware strategy. As the lead for the Long-Term Bets workstream, you'll be working at the cutting edge of new technologies spanning the Cloud Server Infrastructure, AI & Research and Devices organizations.
Partner with Business Development, Corporate Development, and Engineering to value internal hardware development projects and external deals and to support strategic whitepapers
Develop robust expense forecast models to support one-off CapEx and OpEx asks for confidential projects made to the Senior Leadership Team
Build strong relationships external to Finance in order to maintain consistent insight into upcoming R&D projects and their potential impact on Azure/Devices business health
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science or engineering - MBA preferred
5+ years of finance, planning or analysis experience with progressive advancement within your discipline
Deep understanding of the technology industry, particularly in commercial public and private cloud services, business models and economics
Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
Deep modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems
Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a fast pace
Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed COGS analysis
Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact projects both individually and in cross-functional teams
Strong partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required
Executive-level oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate complex analyses simply
Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
High level of self-motivation; ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished and the resourcefulness to get things done
